There are seasons in life when storms roll in and answers seem slow to come. In those moments, prayer isn’t a last resort — it’s our first call and our strongest anchor. At CLAG Church, we believe prayer connects us to the heart of God and steadies us when life feels shaky.
1. Start small and be honest
God already knows your heart — the doubts, the fears, the weariness. When you pray, speak plainly. Short, honest prayers are powerful. “Lord, I don’t feel strong, but I trust you” is better than waiting for the perfect words.
2. Make a simple prayer routine
Consistency matters more than length. Try a short routine: 5 minutes of silence, 5 minutes reading a Psalm, 5 minutes of simple prayers. Small rhythms anchor your soul and reshape your thinking.
3. Pray Scripture back to God
Scripture gives words when we are speechless. Choose a verse that fits your season (Psalm 46:1, Philippians 4:6–7) and repeat it slowly as a prayer. This trains your heart to trust God’s promises.
4. Pray with others
Prayer shared is prayer strengthened. Join a small group or our midweek prayer evening. When we lift each other’s burdens, faith grows and hope is renewed.
5. Keep a prayer journal
Write short notes — a prayer, a worry, a thanksgiving. Over time you’ll see how God is moving. Recording answers builds faith for future storms.
6. Expect God to act — but be patient
Faith is active trust. Expect God to answer, but remember His timing may differ from our urgency. Hold on to the hope that He is at work even when you can’t see it.
Closing encouragement:
If you’re walking a difficult season right now, we’d love to pray with you. Reach out or join our next prayer meeting. You’re not alone — CLAG Church Bungoma is a family that stands together in prayer.
